Story

Where I started

I was fortunate to grow up on Hawaiʻi Island, where my love for nature and the ocean was fostered. Starting in highschool, I built my skills in videography, which I was able to hone—along with skills in graphic design and web development—while studying design at the University of Colorado Boulder. After traveling the world on Semester at Sea, I returned home to Hawaiʻi to finish my degree in Marketing at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa.

Where I am

I am currently working for Purple Maiʻa Foundation, a technology education nonprofit whose mission is to inspire and educate the next generation of culturally grounded, community serving technology makers. My role is varied, but most of my time is spent collaborating with the innovation & entrepreneurship team as a designer, marketer, and program facilitator.

Where I'm going

I am constantly working to refine my skills as a designer,  entrepreneur, and leader. My ultimate goal is to create tangible impact towards solving the climate crisis through my design skillset.
